How Our Houston Custom Jewelry Design Process Works

The custom design process all starts with you having an idea of what you want your custom jewelry to look like. It can be a photograph of something you saw online or something you sketched out on a piece of paper. From your idea, we will create a 3D computer-animated drawing (CAD) that you will be able to approve or modify. Once you give the approval on the ring design (or other jewelry) it will then be grown into a wax mold. The wax mold is then created in your metal of choice (gold or platinum). After the ring has been created then our jeweler will set the loose diamonds.

While visiting Diamond Exchange Houston you will have the opportunity to shop our wholesale diamonds to find the perfect stone. The entire custom jewelry design process takes approximately 2 weeks from start to finish.

Are you not satisfied with any designs you have seen and would like something completely custom? Diamond Exchange Houston is experts at creating custom engagement rings! We have a very simple process to help you design the perfect wedding ring. We will work with you until you are 100% satisfied with the custom design of your engagement ring. Once you have chosen your main diamond we will create a custom engagement ring to fit the stone perfectly.

From start to finish the process will take around 2-4 weeks. Most customers will come in with a picture they have seen online or an idea of what they would like the ring to look like. From there, we will create a rough draft computer animated design and you will have the ability to make unlimited edits. Once you are happy with the CAD drawing we will cast the ring in the metal of your choice and set your diamonds.
